Turn up the volume!

Sorry, can’t hear you! This month’s Ipsy GlamBag is all about being heard and with a couple of the pieces inside, it’s easy to see how we can turn up the volume.

Most of these items are a little bold for me, but this summer’s all about stepping outside my comfort zones. Let me go ahead and grab that neon peach polish, let me go and rock that greenish-gold mermaid shadow. Be loud and be proud!

I love this month’s GlamBag because almost every item can be incorporated into an every day look. Consider it an all-in-one bag!

Here’s what’s inside my Ipsy GlamBag this month:

NYX Professional Makeup Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle in Cocoa Bean

Products that offer more bang for your buck are products I want to load my collection with.

It’s no secret that I love NYX and it’s no secret how much I love their lipsticks. For anyone starting out, NYX is a fantastic company that offers high quality makeup for nearly a fraction of the price. This lipstick alone is $6 so you can pick up a bunch without breaking the bank.

This whipped lipstick is so creamy and lightweight that it almost feels like there’s nothing there. Cocoa Bean is such a pretty nude color that can create any minimal summer day looks without too much effort. I definitely see this becoming a go-to shade this summer!

Before writing this review, I thought this was only a lipstick, but come to find out, it can be used as a cream bronzer too! If you received it in a pink shade, it can easily become a cream blush.

City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadow in Beach Cottage

Mermaid vibes all around.

I love color and I’m not normally turned away by bold shades, but this one got me shook. This shade Beach Cottage by City Color Cosmetics is insanely gorgeous with turquoise and gold reflectance. When swatched, it has such a shimmery, holographic glow, I want to douse my body in it.

Let’s talk about this pigment payoff though. A little goes a long way and this blends so nicely with a flat shadow brush. The product moves smoothly when dispersing on the lid and with its shimmer reflects, it’s not overwhelming turquoise like I thought it would be.

However, I tend to avoid blues and green shades as an all over color. It takes a bold person to rock that look and I’m unfortunately not that person. While researching on Ipsy, I discovered that using a wet eyeliner brush, this can easily be made into a turquoise eyeliner and I’m excited to give that a whirl. Imagine a neutral eye with this baby on top? I’m digging it big time.

Skone Cosmetics Insanely Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner in Jet Black

Friends don’t let friends invest in crappy eyeliner.

Summer means its hot and hot means melted makeup down your face. Don’t get caught looking like a raccoon and invest in a solid eyeliner. This one from Skone Cosmetics is true to its namesake and it doesn’t budge one bit, like a tattoo.

It packs a lot of pigment and it’s fast drying which means it won’t wear off. Even though I wish it was the beautiful copper color, this is a good black eyeliner to keep in your collection.

Trissola Chia 5-in-1 Defining Curl Cream

Embrace messy, sexy hair.

Summer isn’t meant to be slaving over your straightener. it’s meant to be soaking up the summer sun! My hair is my least concern, especially during the summer and the less time to fuss, the better.

Curl creams have been my savior and this one from Trissola might replace my ultimate favorite, the Living Proof In-Shower Styler.

First off, this cream smells so refreshing and it reminds me a lot of Herbal Essences. Its lightweight, easy to work through the hair and it left my locks super soft, even while wet. I felt myself trying to scrunch it to no ends, because I felt that it wasn’t doing its job, but don’t you worry: this curl works overtime because this is one of the only curl creams that have left my tresses with soft, manageable waves without the crunch.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Game Changer

You can tell a lot about a person about their manicures. This one will leave ’em speechless.

Summer is all about bold shades and this gorgeous neon coral shade from Trust Fund Beauty is turning up the volume in dramatic fashion. I don’t have anything like this color in my collection and I can imagine this being radiating with a deep tan.

Since I’m so boring when it comes to my mani collection, I’m definitely excited to give this one a whirl. If you’re too scared to commit to the color, think of pairing this as either an accent nail, or by using it as nail art.

Ipsy suggested using a nude color and dropping a dot of this Game Changer on the lower portion of the nail. Aesthetic goals, please? Absolutely. Want some piece of mind? This polish is cruelty-free, 10-free, paraben-free and GMO-free.
