happy hour: moscow mules

You’ve seen the copper mugs all over Instagram and I know you’ve wondered ‘what the hell are these things for’?

Ya girl got the answers right here: They’re for Moscow Mules! Aka, your new go-to summer cocktail.

This is refreshing, light and can be low-cal. Depending on the ginger beer used, it can be about 213 calories. Be cautious and opt for a diet ginger beer.  Here’s what you’ll need for a single-serving Moscow Mule:

  • Copper mug
  • Shot glass
  • Ice cubs
  • Lime juice (I like Realime, but it’s better to use fresh limes to juice and garnish)
  • Your favorite vodka
  • Ginger beer

First, fill your copper mug with ice. Pour in your ginger beer, the shot of vodka and splash with lime juice. Stir it all up….

…. and that’s it. It’s that easy to have an Instagram-worthy cocktail! This drink has been popping up all over bars and menus but it can be that easy to make at home.
