Like. A. Boss.

We all know at least one. In fact, we might even be her: A Boss Lady.

She’s the babe who has sh!t together, the one who takes life by the reigns and makes the world her oyster. She’s the one who we all aspire to be and may we be her someday and may we even raise them in the future.

This month’s Glam Bag is chocked full of products to help us embrace our inner boss babes and a lot of things that help the most out of our day and utilize every second of our busy routine.

I’m digging the design of the Bag itself because of its studded, bad ass vibes. I can definitely see myself grabbing this for a night out with friends as a clutch paired with a leather jacket and a vampy dark burgundy lip.

This post is incredibly late compared to my other Ipsy Unmaggings because we had a slight complication.

Normally, I receive it in the beginning/middle of the month (roughly around the 10th-15th). When I opened this month’s bag, I noticed I had only received four products instead of the usual five. (I also had redeemed something using my beauty points, but that’s coming next month!) Contacting Ipsy’s Customer Service, which shoutout to them, they instantly hooked me up with my missing sample and sent it over to me, complimentary.

Better late than never, right?

Here’s what was inside my Ipsy Glam Bag this month:

Luxie Beauty | Rose Gold Medium Angled Shading Eye Brush 207

I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face, but makeup brushes are hella expensive, yet a vital part of anyone’s collection. The difference between a crappy brush and a good one can really make the difference in the look you’re trying to achieve, but that doesn’t mean you should spend your entire life savings on a good set.

Anytime a beauty subscription sends me a brush, I cherish it like gold. Rose gold. Like this one from Luxie. They’re always known for their gorgeous aesthetics and slowly my collection is being overhauled into rose gold beauty.

This little guy is perfect for cutting those creases, which is a major staple in the upcoming vampy makeup season (which I’m SO excited for!). The bristles hold onto powders nicely and it doesn’t give a ton of loose kickback.

Like all Luxie brushes, the bristles are vegan and cruelty-free, giving me peace of mind when slaying my makeup game.

tarte cosmetics | deluxe lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara

Lights, camera, lashes baby.

Get ready to show stop with this mascara from Tarte Cosmetics. I recently received this in a Sephora Collection of Tarte’s best products that I redeemed using my Beauty Insider points and immediately fell in love with how volumized and long my lashes looked.

One coat of Tarte Cosmetics Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara on left eye, nothing on right eye

As mentioned in my Sephora Play this month, when beauty subscriptions hit you up with repeat products of some of your favorites, it’s not a bad time at all. Consider it a win-win.

The wand pulls each lash to lift them and give them an extra boost of volume. It might not replace my obsession with the Roller Lash from Benefit just yet, but I have been grabbing this one for the final touch on most of my looks.

My only gripe with this mascara is that it does take a while for it to dry, but for the length it provides and its wearability throughout a day, I can easily overlook it.

Pixi by Petra | Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey

In my first-ever Glam Bag nearly two years ago (!!!), I received the Rose Gold Beauty Blush Duo and I fell in love with its shimmer finish. So I had high expectations for this…

… It fell juuuuuuuust a bit short.

As a highlight, it was absolutely blinding, once I hit pan about three or four times. It’s a pretty chalky formula when applied with fingers, and with a brush, the shimmer disperses ALL over the place.

As a blush, I hated it for the same reason why I loved it as a highlight. The shimmer made it look like a pixie sneezed on my face and the peach tones really didn’t show up on my bronzed face. I’m someone who will bathe in highlight and shimmer, but this formula was too streaky and too cheap to my liking.

Elizabeth Mott | Pop! Goes The Shadow in Toasted

This was the product that I didn’t receive and threw a bit of a hissy fit about. It’s no secret that I love Elizabeth Mott products and this shade was too gorgeous to pass up for fall.

I’m so glad that I contacted Ipsy’s Customer Service because this has quickly become a staple in my everyday makeup routine.

Upon looking at the Elizabeth Mott website, the shadows claimed to be buildable, long lasting and made with a crease-free formula. That is 100% the case, which makes this a great everyday shadow. It’s also incredibly creamy and so easy to work with.

The color Toasted is a gorgeous cool taupe with insane pink/purple undertones and reflectants under a flashlight. I tend to stick with a lot of neutral shades during the fall so this will be something I’ll be creating a lot of looks with.

It’s perfect for a swipe over the lid and to be done with, to build some definition in the crease (use that Luxie brush aforementioned!) or as a metallic liner to spice up a look. Just spray an eyeliner brush with some setting spray so that the powder doesn’t smear and the shimmer really sparkles.

NEOGEN Dermalogy | Real Flower Cleansing Water in Rose

Nothing is more exciting than when a beauty subscription sends you a new micellar water to test out. Micellar waters literally make my world go round, as I’ve mentioned so many times before.

Natural products always make the conscious beauty buyer in me sing and this has real rose petals in it. Rose has a lot of soothing components to it so it won’t strip your skin’s natural oils and it’ll leave it hydrated.

I felt that it did an okay job at cleaning my face as a cleanser. It didn’t strip like it said it would, but I felt that it left some sort of residue behind (which isn’t necessarily an awful thing). It didn’t minimize my pores and it didn’t really swipe away impurities (or noticeably anyway).

Fragrances are a big turn-on or turn-off for me, and your girl could do without her face smelling like a field of roses. I’ve never loved the smell of roses and the faintest smell turns me off, which is why I wasn’t bragging home about this one.

However, if you love the smell of roses, then you’ll love this one because it’s long lasting.
