All you

I’ve been loving the fact that all my beauty subscriptions have been on the same page with etching out time for ourselves during the impending busy schedules for the holidays.

For someone who’s been a major advocate for self-love and learning to love and appreciate myself, this is so important. Lately, I’ve been feeling very down in the dumps with the seasonal change and the adjustment of a new job, so much in fact that it’s taken me away from the things I love doing.

Routines are hard enough to establish and when your life gets turned upside down (literally), it’s hard to adjust and learn how to make the most out of an opportunity. I’m not complaining about the new changes, it’s just right now my life is on a learning curve and I’m struggling, but hopefully in due time, I’ll be okay.

But enough of a life update, that’s for another post down the road.

Here’s what’s inside my Ipsy GlamBag this month:

TOO FACED | Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray

My hangover remedy usually consists of a bottle of Coke, a Netflix marathon and a whole lot of regret.

This 3-in-1 replenishing spray is a godsend on those late nights/early mornings where we have to be responsible adults. I’ve used this in a magnitude of ways and this guy never fails to come to the rescue.

It’s made with coconut water, so it’s cooling and refreshing on impact. It also has a probiotic-based ingredient, which will help repair your skin from damage. I also love how it’s silicone-free, alcohol-free and oil-free.

At first, I thought the sample size wouldn’t be enough, being that I’m someone who drowns themselves in setting spray. Surprisingly the 2.0-ml size sample has withheld at least three-to-four days worth of makeup. Small, yet powerful!

My only gripe is that the sprayer does deposit a heavy stream, leaving you with wet spots on your face, but that could just be the sample itself. With a bigger sized bottle, that might not be an issue.

SLMISSGLAM | B36 Tapered Highlight Brush

And my (baby) brush collection continues to grow!

I will never turn away a brush, especially if it’s gorgeous like this one from SLMISSGLAM. It also helps that it’s made 100% cruelty-free, giving those interested some peace of mind.

I love how they paid such close attention to detail with the two gems on the metal part of the brush and its very whimsical  blue colored bristles. Not only is it dainty and aesthetically pleasing, this brush packs a punch. It can be used with powder or liquid products.

I loved how its tapered, which made packing highlighters a breeze and its bristles are synthetic, which means they’re fluffy and soft.

COLOURPOP COSMETICS | Pressed Powder Shadow in Paper Tiger

S/O to the makeup gods and goddesses for answering my never-ending prayers for a good transition shade.

For months, I’ve been trying to find a perfect shade to pop into the crease to build an array of smokey and halo eye looks. I didn’t want something too dark that would muddle the colors together, but I also didn’t want something too light because it would have been lost after layering shadows.

After watching Youtube video after Youtube video, I found a solution: a matte mustard yellow! Do you know how HARD that is to find in a world filled with any color eyeshadow possible?!

Thankfully, Colourpop came through with this pressed shadow that’s so easy to blend and easy to build up thanks to its rich pigmentation. This shade adds just enough warmth to my eyes that it nearly transform their eye color.

This will definitely be a building block to a majority of upcoming holiday looks. After having some skepticism on Colourpop shadows, I now feel more confident in purchasing more in the future!

‘TINI BEAUTY | Barfly Highlighter in Candlelit

Alcohol and makeup: Two of my favorite things!

The brand ‘Tini Beauty combines the two together and have created this gorgeous cool-toned peach highlight. Peach bellini, anyone?

I’m not normally a stick highlighter person, but I really like this formula. It blends out to a gorgeous iridescent shade and doesn’t pull the foundation when applying. It buffs out easily and stays where it’s intended to go.

I love how this is small enough to throw into my purse, in case of those highlighter emergencies where I’m not blinding everyone. (It’s a real thing, I swear.) This will be a new addition to my purse, as an emergency highlight because it doesn’t require a brush to apply.

LIME CRIME | Diamond Crushers in Lit

Liquid diamonds.

I’m a major fan of anything sparkly, but normally I stay in my lane when it comes to metallic lipsticks, let alone literal glitter lips.

But when I pulled this lippie out of my Glambag, I nearly squealed with delight. This shade is GORGEOUS, especially with all the glitzy holiday parties and events coming up! (I’m already considering of packing this into my bag for when Ryan and I go to New York City for New Year’s Eve!)

I never imagined myself being something to even remotely think glitter lip as an option, but this is such a fun look that’s almost neutral enough to wear daily. Since it’s rose gold, it is subtle enough to wear in the office without drawing too much attention.

You can wear it on its own or top it on your favorite lipstick. It also smells like strawberries. This lipstick is a literal gamechanger.

The only thing I disliked about it is that it does apply very VERY wet, but it does dry down quickly. Also to note, you can disperse the glitter by rubbing it with your finger once it dries. This makes it look more of a shimmer than straight glitter chunks.
