Be completely honest with yourself: you def have deleted a photo on your Insta because it didn’t get nearly as many likes as you thought it would. Wait, that’s just me? Oops, guilty as charged. #SelfieQueen
Sephora Play is coming through with some products that will up your selfie game as this month’s theme is Insta-Beauty: A flawless skin tint, a face mask to brighten your skin and an airbrush pressed powder.
Also, how cute is Sephora Play’s pamphlet with hooking you up with a flat-lay backdrop and an Insta-Beauty bucket list? I know for myself, I’ll definitely be trying to recreate some of these adorable inspirations!
Here’s what was inside my Sephora Play this month:
I haven’t strayed away from my Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation since falling in love with it in a Sephora Play. It’s been my go-to foundation and will be a favorite of mine for a looooong time. However, I don’t love full coverage once the temperatures start to rise.
Since my skin isn’t exactly #NoFilter perfect, I prefer something that gives me medium to full coverage, without being weighed down. Sometimes it seems like you’re compromising when it comes to your foundation but this skin tint is the middle of the road when it comes to coverage: it wears like a bb cream, but builds up like a foundation. Plus, it has SPF 25, so you’re protected once the sun shines.
While wearing this, I was complimented that my skin looked flawless and I love how it wore: It didn’t weigh down my skin, it was easy to build coverage and it lasted all day. It also didn’t oxidize like some other bb creams I have.
S/O to Sephora with yet another perfect color match and a huge S/O to Sephora Play for making me fall even more in love with Make Up For Ever.

I’ve tested this out a while back, but my feelings about it haven’t changed too much. Check my review for it here.

A five-minute facial? Normally, I’m all for a little self-love and ultimate relaxation with a face mask and vegging out, but sometimes you need something in a pinch. Consider this your new secret weapon.
This is meant to be quick-working, but super powerful. According to the Sephora website, this mask ‘targets dullness, rough texture, uneven tone, dryness, and congestion, leaving skin incredibly soft and restoring its natural radiance’. It’s filled with a ton of natural products like kombu seaweed, red algae, and lotus seed powder to gently exfoliate the skin.
I am obsessed with the smell of this mask because it gives me serious spa vibes and I loved how my skin looked more radiant and glowing after a one time use. I’ve used the Fresh Rose gel mask in the past, and I wasn’t really wowed by it, but this could redeem my faith in Fresh, which has been a company I’ve wanted to love.
One thing I don’t love about this mask is it does take a while to wash off, but it leaves your skin super hydrated and smooth. Even though this miracle mask is a little more on the pricer side, it might be something to treat myself to someday.

Unicorns has been trendy for a while now, but sometimes we should leave well enough alone. I drew the line at the unicorn frappe… Seriously, who drank one of those WITHOUT going into a diabetic shock?!
Let’s look at this review outside of the color choice, because quite honestly, this is too girly pink for my liking. I didn’t love the iridescent reflectant in it, but it is a fun pop of color for those girls’ nights.
However, this lipgloss in any other shade might actually be a favorite of mine. (And we all know how I feel about glosses!)
This lipgloss is packed with vitamin E and peppermint oil (and it smells just as delicious with a vanilla-mint fragrance) so your lips are left hydrated and moisturized. There’s a slight plumping sensation so your lips will look a little fuller upon application, however the formula is a little thick, so it’s slightly tricky to apply.
Like most glosses, it isn’t really eat/drink/kiss-proof, but I don’t mind reapplying with its delectable scent.

More often than not, it’s normally too late before I realize that I’ve forgotten probably the most important step in my makeup routine: Applying a primer.
I haven’t really found a primer that I can’t live without during my time dabbling with makeup. I struggle with oiliness, so finding mattifying primers can be a daunting task because mattifying usually means depriving my skin of moisture.
This primer is lightweight, easy to blend out and blurs pores almost instantly. It reminded me a lot of Benefit’s Pore Fessional in terms of texture, but unlike Pore Fessional, I actually like this one.
I paired this with the aforementioned skin tint and I noticed how nice the finish was. Maybe it’s a two-for-one combo or maybe it’s two great products on their own, but I know that I was surprised by both.

I was hesitant at first when I opened this month’s Play because a perfume literally called rose water would have the anti-floral freak in me bugging out. However, after a quick squirt on my wrist, I came to realize how well this settled with my natural body odor. There’s no rose in this, but rather blackcurrant, lily of the valley and musk that balances this out.
I’ve been looking for another perfume, since I’ve been abusing my Brazilian Crush for long enough. This might be a possibility for the future.
