Bon voyage! It’s time to pack your bags and set off to see the world because Ipsy is serving some serious wanderlust with this month’s GlamBag!
This month’s theme is Go There and there’s a bunch of products that will help us make the most of our time abroad by not bogging us down with time-consuming products. Be sure to check out the Ipsy website for some traveling tips from the pros so you’ll look glam, even while away!
This GlamBag got me so HYPED for our upcoming trip to Europe. One of my biggest worries about the trip is trying to limit what beauty products to bring. There’s a lot of goodies in this month’s GlamBag that might solidify my wish-list.
Here’s what I received in my May GlamBag:
🚨 REPEAT ALERT 🚨
I previously tested this product and you can check my original review here, but I figured it’s been a minute since I last tested it out, so it would only be right to give it another fair trial.
Thank goodness I’m still in love with its tropical blend of rosehip, argan and coconut oils. (Also, I’m more obsessed with the acronym of this product because the writer in me obviously isn’t dead.)
I put this on damp hair and loosely braided my hair before heading to bed one night. When I woke up in the morning, this leave-in conditioner left my tresses the perfectly beachy wave with zero frizz. I was already a fan, but even more so now because my locks felt softer, more manageable and the scent was long-lasting.

Raise your hand if you love a gel manicure, but hate the aftermath of trying to remove it?
I have been a long-time lover of Adesse nail polishes after discovering them in my second-ever GlamBag (which was over two years ago!). This polish is super durable and chip-resistant, long lasting and leaves my nails shiny as if I just applied. Plus, it’s quick drying so I’m not waiting around all day waiting!
Oh, Cabana Boy is a pastel blue that looks stellar on sun-kissed skin. I received a ton of compliments on this color, which is normally out of my comfort zone. As I’ve mentioned once or twice, light polishes are usually a pass for me, but this polish looked just as fresh on Day Four as it did on Day One.
Because I’m an impatient person, I peeped on the Ipsy website and saw that I would be receiving an Adesse polish in either Bellini, which was a gorgeous pinky nude or in this shade Oh, Cabana Boy. Truthfully, I wish I received Bellini because I already have a few blues like this in my arsenal, like one of my all-time favorites (Bikini So Teeny by Essie).

Recently, my beauty subscriptions have been sending me finishing/setting powders like they’re going out of style. It’s always a lot of fun to test out different kinds of similar products to find out which one is your favorite. It’s even more fun when you’re not breaking the bank testing them all! Thanks, beauty subscriptions!
As the weather gets warmer, I dump my full coverage foundations and opt for BB creams and skin tints. Last summer, I discovered the Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian BB Cream and was excited to pair it with this for a more matte finish.
The Amazonian collection from Tarte not only is super wearable, but it’s also good for you with clay harvested from the Amazon River that helps with an array of skin issues.
Finishing powders aren’t normally a step in my routine, but since being sent three powders in the past two months, I’ve been incorporating them more especially since my skin has been so oily. I liked this one because it’s finely milled so it’s translucent enough and doesn’t cause flashback when it’s time to take a selfie.
The biggest gripe I had with this product was its applicator. I fell in love with the fact there was a little plastic stopper that plugged into the two holes in the top, but those two holes were tiny and made it hard to shake out the product. All for being resourceful and not wasting product, but it’d also be nice to actually be able to test said product!

Paint the town (or your face) with this adorable face mask.
Korean skincare seems to be the answer to all of life’s problems and there’s no bigger Korean skincare brand than TonyMoly. Not only do they win for Grade-A products, they win for their absurdly adorable packaging.
This mask has black bamboo charcoal that will help draw out impurities and the lava and kaolin clays will help draw out and detox the skin. I really like this mask because unlike traditional clay masks, it doesn’t dry and tighten.
If you’re someone who has oily skin, this mask will become your BFF. It controls sebum, which is what causes your skin to shine and not bright like a diamond. After a one-time use, I noticed that my pores looked smaller, but I wasn’t a huge fan of its licorice/plastic scent.

Let’s make a pact to take more beauty challenges this summer, starting with bright, fun eyeshadows like this one from Elizabeth Mott, a brand I’m already obsessed with.
I received an eyeshadow from Elizabeth Mott a few months ago, and I was happy to see that the pan sized has increased. It’s always great when you get more product for your buck!
I was intimidated beyond belief when I opened this aqua eyeshadow because I already have one similar to this hue that I seldom use.
But, it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t give this product a fair test, so I opted to tone it down with a subtle brown smokey eye. I was really pleased with how it gave it a fun pop, but wasn’t daunting or overwhelming for a Wednesday. To be fair, I probably won’t be running to grab this shadow, but I do like the quality and pigment payoff and won’t hesitate twice to get my hands on another shadow.
