Merry and bright ✨

⏲ Read time: 5-7 minutes

‘Tis the season to sparkle ✨.

With all of your holiday shindigs and events, let Ipsy help out with some products to help glitz your looks! This month’s GlamBag is filled with the right tools to make your look last all night and to sparkle all night long. (Plus, this gold-sequined GlamBag is the perfect accessory to boot!)

Ipsy is spreading some holiday cheer by adding a bonus gift this month: Instead of the traditional five items, we received six!

Here’s what I received in my December Ipsy GlamBag:

Generation Clay | Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask

May your days be merry and bright, like this clay face mask.

Packed with superfruit Davidson plum, this clay mask helps brighten, nourish and refine your dull and tired skin. Don’t let those late nights wrapping presents or last-minute holiday shopping get the better of you.  (I feel you, my procrastinators because #same). This also has desert lime to boost collagen and hydrate, bentonite clay to dissolve impurities and aloe vera to soothe.

If we’re being honest, this mask burns when applied. It’s not an uncomfortable sensation, I’m talking like it feels like your skin is on fire! If you can bear through it until it starts to tighten and dry, I promise the results are worth it because once it washed off, my skin looked brighter, was smoother and felt more balanced.

Plus, who doesn’t love a face mask inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year?! If nothing else, it’s definitely a fun product that’s perfect for your #MaskSelfies, but this is one I could see having some great long-term results with if I continued to use it.

Luxie Beauty | Precision Blending Eye Brush 243

Dear Santa, please send (more) brushes.

There’s a reason why beauty gurus swear this brand up and down as one of the best brush brands and the millennial pink handle makes my growing brush collection look chic AF.

I love how the tapered end makes it easy to blend out in the crease of my eye and the soft bristles fluffs everything without a ton of fallout. It’s fact that I will never complain when receiving a Luxie brush and I’ve received a few (like here, here and here).

theBalm Cosmetics | Nude Beach Eyeshadow in Bootylicious

Who else now has Destiny’s Child stuck in their head? Just me?

This shimmer bronze shadow will be your BFF this holiday season because this shadow packs a 2-for-1 punch: While applied dried, it blends out with some reddish undertones, but wet an angled brush and you’re left with an intense metallic wing that compliments that will leave people speechless.

Every time I receive a product from theBalm, I fall even more in love with the company’s cruelty-free mantra. Their powders wear like a dream because of the triple-milled process and you won’t have to worry about creasing. At this point, basically expect high marks whenever you see me un-bag theBalm!

Ciate London | Glitter Flip Transforming Glitter Liquid Lipstick in Infamous

Watch this lipstick transform before your eyes.

Can your lipstick do tricks? How about transform from a fairly monochromatic berry shade to a purple glitter? This lipstick from Ciate can do that!

There is a little bit of trickery with this lipstick. Be sure to let it fully dry before you begin your transformation. Once dry, dab your lips with a finger to activate the environmentally-friendly mica glitter and dab for however much glitter you want. Once you’re happy, leave it! You can also press your lips together, but I didn’t notice as much glitter activation with this method.

I had discovered this, along with everyone else on the internet, a while ago and had been wanting to try it out. This is certainly a conversation starter and perfect  for your holiday parties, but I’m not sure if it’s a shade I’d wear past New Year’s. I might love sparkle, but  sometimes I like to do the talking with my eyes and leave the sparkle there.

F.A.R.A.H. Brushes | Tapered Blending Brush 35E

Ipsy is spreading some extra holiday cheer this season, with an additional gift: this gorgeous gold brush!

This tapered brush has finger notches that makes it fit like a dream in your hand and the soft bristles blends everything out with ease. It’s an all-in-one brush, meaning you can use it with several different products, from creams to powders.

I really love this brush and can easily see it becoming my go-to brush for all my makeup needs. I wish I could find this collection online because I’d love to replace some of my older ones with these. They’d look so chic on my vanity!

Nomad Cosmetics | Around-The-World Light Infusion Holographic Illuminator in Ko Pha Ngan Moonlight

May your days be merry and bright, like this out-of-this-world highlighter.

This highlighter is made with prismatic pearls and is infused with sunflower oil. This shade could easily pass as a dupe for Blue Moon in the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild palette. It’s gorgeous and will quickly become your BFF for all of your holiday looks. (P.S. it can also be worn as an eyeshadow!)

On a side note, as someone who suffers from some serious wanderlust, I am OBSESSED with Nomad’s mantra. I love how this brand’s products are inspired by some of the greatest views around the world, and this one is inspired by Thailand’s island, Ko Pha Ngan.
